Welcome to Award Studio. I would like to tell you a little about my background. I have been interested in the fashion and beauty industry for as long as I can remember. I completed a fine arts program at Philadelphia College of Art and went on to do an honors degree in philosophy at University of London. But my heart was always in fashion and beauty. I worked as a fashion model while I was at university and then as a makeup artist and photographer in New York, London and throughout Europe for over 19 years. And I think this is the best job in the world!
If you are creative, love the industry, enjoy your freedom and perhaps love to travel, you can go anywhere you desire with a career as a media makeup artist. It enabled me to work with interesting, creative people in amazing locations with all expenses paid. Every day is a different experience and this has definitely been my dream job. Now I get great pleasure enabling others to have the opportunity to do the same. Many creative individuals are not fulfilled with a 9-5 job where every day is just like the day before. Perhaps you are one of these people but you didn't know how to get into this field. Or you may have been put off by makeup schools that involve major time commitments and vast sums of money. My philosophy is to provide you with the most comprehensive education possible, in a short amount of time, at a very reasonable price. I love what I do now, as an educator and photographer, just as much as I enjoyed traveling all over the world on makeup assignments. Helping like minded people to embark on a media makeup career that pays well and most importantly enables them do what they love is as good as it gets.
